Age
White plaster lasts 8–12 years. Quartz lasts 12–15 years. Pebble lasts 15–20 years. If you're at or past that mark, replaster is on the table.
What to look for
Roughness underfoot (etching from years of chemistry swings). Persistent staining that doesn't respond to acid wash. Cracks (structural — call us right away). Chemistry that never quite dials in. Water that stays cloudy or off-color.
Cost + timeline
Full replaster runs $6,000–$14,000 for most residential Delaware County pools. Add $3,000–$8,000 if you're doing tile + coping at the same time (recommended). Timeline is 3–5 days for a straightforward replaster, or 2–3 weeks if you're doing the full package.
Best time of year
Fall through early spring — your pool sits dormant anyway, and the work is done in time for a fresh spring opening. Book by late summer for the best calendar slots.
